David Hilburn grew up in Lockhart, Texas. He went on to attend Texas A&M University, graduating in 1997. He then pursued a career in law, attending South Texas College of Law. In 2000 Mr. Hilburn worked for the Harris County District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor. As a prosecutor for Harris County, Mr. Hilburn worked in the Misdemeanor, Juvenile, and Felony Divisions. Mr. Hilburn also served for six months as the Chief of the Justice of the Peace Division. In 2005, Mr. Hilburn returned to Bryan-College Station to work at the Brazos County District Attorney's Office, where he tried many felony cases and prosecuted juvenile crimes. Mr. Hilburn served four years as a prosecutor for the Brazos County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Hilburn began working for the Law Office of James & Reynolds in August of 2009, working in Criminal Defense and Juvenile Defense. Mr. Hilburn has also served as an instructor for Blinn College in Bryan, Texas. He has taught courses in American Federal Government since 2006 to hundreds of college students.
